GOVERNED BY AMATEURS RUNNING WILD!
One would laugh at such a Fantozzi-like backtrack by the General Directorate on the DEP ranking, awaited by everyone for years, but unfortunately, it is worrying that managers, very well paid, together with their administrative team in charge of collecting data to draw up the ranking, which was postponed for months, then withdrew it due to obvious and gross calculation errors!
Having made this necessary premise to reiterate their clear responsibilities, I waited a couple of days before writing this because, remembering past occasions, there was the need to let the "hot tempers" cool down, which always, as far as I remember, the band progression (ex PEO now DEP) inevitably triggers in those excluded, generating in them conspiratorial and boycott ideas towards our already mistreated professional category!
There are no deceptions, there are no tricks, there are certainly calculation errors that will need to be checked and evaluated case by case, then using appeals against the new ranking that will be published soon, but let's not get dragged into the mud of gossip and the most fanciful theories as I have read these days in the "open" Wapp groups!
Unfortunately, I will be verbose but it is inevitable to clarify this new system of "economic recognition" introduced by the collective contract and never before implemented, and here is another company responsibility for not having clearly informed employees in time about the diversified rankings and especially about the alphanumeric code suggested by the Privacy Guarantor... so why not use it before for all the rankings posted on company notice boards?
We know well that changes, especially when it comes to money, always cause discomfort in a world, the public one, where the saying "it has always been done this way" still often prevails.
But times change and regulations change as do contractual dictates, and those were used for the *Company Regulation on DEP Guidelines* (whoever wants a copy can ask me) which is nothing more than a copy and paste of article 19 CCNL 02.11.2022 exactly as described in the contract... then there were calculation errors, yes, probably... that's why it was withdrawn!
Do you know what the only real boycott is?
The lack of money... money that the Financial Laws, made by a politics as inept as our managers, allocate for public sector contract renewals is increasingly tight, impoverishing families more and more with an inevitably lower purchasing power!
The proof of what I say is the current contract renewal, a real disaster to which, as you well know, Nursing Up said NO!
Returning to the DEPs and precisely in line with the scarce economic resources, consider that at the beginning the General Directorate had made available €700,000 for about 12,000 employees, a shameful and unacceptable amount, you can't imagine how tight the discussion was to reach those €2,200,000 to which another €150,000 was recently added given their importance in the payslip as a fixed and untouchable part once the DEP is acquired!
I have to note that many colleagues are "distracted"... for months, with the transparency that distinguishes us, we have pointed out that the DEP beneficiaries would be about 2200/2300 and that, inevitably, the other about 10,000 would have to wait for the next opportunity!
But evidently this information did not get through as expected!
Are there few beneficiaries? Yes, of course, but I explained above why... but now finally, after the years of Covid, *we have started a process of enhancing staff that must annually guarantee DEPs to as many operators as possible and it will be Nursing Up's goal to achieve this among many other results!
The Administrative Directorate has shown all its limits, bordering on the ridiculous, just as the Care Directorate has already shown, and when the ship has no courageous and above all authoritative officers, it is destined to end up on the rocks and we are already there, I think you have noticed, right?
Well, the time has come, because there is no more time, for a "Gandhian revolution" through civil disobedience and non-violent resistance that can only happen through the union of professionals, this is the time to close ranks, to share, to redeem ourselves...
Important professional battles await us and we need the category of healthcare workers, nurses, midwives... to be united and cohesive!
