Dear Colleagues, today I want to address a topic that is very close to me as a nurse and that concerns all those who work in the healthcare field: our placement within the "healthcare sector". The placement of nurses within the "healthcare sector", which forces them to share the same contractual category as workers and staff without educational qualifications, represents a profound injustice. This situation not only does not reflect the complexity and responsibility of nursing work, but economically penalizes the profession with salaries that do not correspond to the preparation and commitment required. It is essential to emphasize that this disparity is not intended to diminish the value of the work performed by other profiles, but highlights the need to recognize the specificity and professionalism of nursing. The presence of nurses at the ARAN table with figures that are not homogeneous in terms of training and responsibility highlights the need for a contractual system that values specific skills and guarantees fair pay. It's time to review the contractual system to give nurses the recognition they deserve! A situation that is not only unfair, but does not reflect the complexity and responsibility of our work. The role of the nurse is of primary importance in the healthcare system. We are on the front lines in patient care, responsible for assistance, administering medications, managing emergencies, and safeguarding their health. A delicate job that requires specialized skills, problem-solving abilities, and a high level of dedication. And yet, despite our preparation and commitment, we are treated as simple "workers". Our placement in the healthcare sector penalizes us economically, with salaries that do not correspond to the professionalism and responsibility of our work. It's time to say enough to this injustice! To leave the healthcare sector, legislative intervention is necessary, and for this reason it is essential to vote for the right person in the next elections. Let's choose those who are committed to recognizing our intellectual profession and protecting our rights. Voting consciously is the first step to building a better future for us nurses and for the entire healthcare system. Together we can make a difference! Let's help each other not only to share but also to: Inform: Spread awareness about the situation of nurses and other professionals (midwives, OSS, physiotherapists, technicians, etc.) and the need for change. Mobilize: Organize initiatives and demonstrations to raise awareness among politicians and public opinion, this is what we will do. Vote: Choose candidates who are committed to recognizing the professionalism of nurses and improving their working conditions. Let's remember: our vote has the power to change things! Not voting means giving a blank check to a rotten system. Choose the right candidate. Together, we can build a fairer future for nurses and quality healthcare for everyone. Dr. Fulvia Panza: Let's value nursing with the PNNR: OECD salaries for quality healthcare. The PNNR is an opportunity to recognize the value of nurses and other professionals.
