LapaginadiNursingUpWith decree no. 121/2021, the pink parking becomes official. Municipalities are granted the power to reserve limited parking spaces, either on a permanent or temporary basis, or even just for certain periods. Vehicles must be equipped with a special permit, called: pink permit.
Article 158 of the Code of the Road has also been amended, which prohibits parking vehicles in spaces reserved for vehicles serving pregnant women or parents with a child under two years old who have a pink permit.
Violation of these provisions, according to the new article 188 bis of the code of the road, states that: anyone who uses the facilities referred to in paragraph 1, without having the authorization required by paragraph 2 or makes improper use of it, is subject to an administrative fine of an amount from 87 to 344 euros.
4. Anyone who, although entitled, uses the facilities referred to in paragraph 1 without complying with the conditions and limits indicated in the authorization required by paragraph 2, is subject to an administrative fine of an amount from 42 to 173 euros.
In the past, many virtuous municipalities already reserved special parking spaces for pregnant women or mothers of very young children, especially near essential public services (clinics, hospitals, family counseling centers, local health authorities, schools, nurseries, public parks, etc.).
