After our initial survey, via email and on various social networks (Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.), it appears that the vast majority of nurses, those who have contacted us, in the thousands, are against this new position that the Emilia Romagna Region wants to create, the Care Director.
We have confirmation, although we already had a feeling, that the doctors' unions don't like the proposal either.
All the unions unanimously said NO to the Care Director: Anaao-Assomed, Aaroi-Emac, Anpo, Andmo, Cimo, Fvm, Fassid, Fimmg, Snami, and Sumai.
Apparently, only the generalist unions like the idea of this new high-level management position, which despite the misleading name (care) would have nothing to do with actual care.
Real care is provided by nurses for 1600 euros a month, with enormous risks and responsibilities, certainly not from a new golden chair. What do you think about the Care Director? If you haven't done so, write here lapaginadinursingup@yahoo.com
The Regional OPI Coordination of Emilia Romagna, the National Federation of Orders of Nursing Professions support the proposal of the Regional Health Department to amend Regional Law 29/2004 with the aim of enhancing healthcare professions.
The Care Director will participate together with the other Directors in the drafting of strategies for the governance of healthcare professions and in achieving objectives.
The undersigned is not very optimistic about this new position, I am convinced that to enhance healthcare professions it would be enough to hire more nurses, support staff, and to give a decent pay raise, at least 500 euros more net in the paycheck, just to start.
