Thursday I was in Rome at the Circus Maximus and I shared a day with wonderful colleagues, I would say UNIQUE and full of emotions: together we reflected, got angry, cried, laughed, sang, aware that we do the most beautiful job in the world, but also the most mistreated, the least valued.
We shouted ENOUGH to deprofessionalized, exploited, underpaid Nurses.
We were moved by the depth and courage of our colleague Clelia, we recognized ourselves in the boiled frog testified by a Great Senia, we cheered during the speech of President De Palma, someone who really puts himself out there, BUT there were empty chairs and those missing were not only the representatives of other unions or professional orders, those missing were many of us.
In that symbolic place, the still empty space and our inability to truly work as a team, to all move in the same direction, going BEYOND personal interests, stood out.
Let's learn from our French colleagues who, through perseverance, tenacity, and unity, have achieved more than one recognition.
In Italy, Divide et Impera has always found fertile ground, but if we really want to get out of the Sector and rewrite the history of our Profession, we must not hesitate, we must participate, not just limit ourselves to "let's arm ourselves and you fight", let's reflect before November second.
