NURSING UP INFORMS
Following pressure from Nursing Up, finally, just before the summer holidays, the nursing management has issued the company plan for the need of healthcare professionals as follows;
1) nurses hired on *permanent contracts 86
2) nurses hired on *fixed-term contracts 142 + 4 for the strengthening of CAU Cesenatico* absences longer than 3 months will be covered, but what about all the others?
3) *40 OSS + 17 extensions in Cesena* × 5 months... but how many will actually sign a contract for so few months?
4) other healthcare roles *3 midwives! But how come so few for the whole company?
Then what is the final paradox?
It quotes the text of the note sent to the trade unions
Given the impossibility of recruiting fixed-term staff in the nurse profile to cover the numerous absences* (they even admit that shifts are uncovered) it is confirmed that *permanent coverage of 41 positions that will become vacant in the period July-August 2025.
So in the end they are basically telling us that they want to hire 146 nurses on fixed-term contracts but since there are none, they will hire 41 (2/3 less!) on permanent contracts.
If they then try to deny the POA, it will be a union battle from the first day of the summer period.
