Nursing Up Salerno: una proposta concreta per valorizzare il personale dell'ASL

Fasce e certificazioni...

Salerno, September 10, 2024. During the latest Nursing Up Salerno meeting, Union Leader and RSU Dr. Mirko Marzullo presented a series of innovative proposals aimed at enhancing nursing staff and ensuring greater fairness in internal and public competitions.

Among the most significant proposals is that of including the following certifications in the scoring of internal competitions and qualifications for the assignment of bands:

• basic IT certifications worth 0.60pt

• healthcare IT certifications worth 0.80pt

• foreign language certification level A1/B1 – A2/B2 worth 0.60pt

• foreign language certifications level C1/C2 worth 0.60pt

• the maximum score to be assigned to ECM courses of 1.5pt

A series of certifications that attest to IT skills, both general and specific to the healthcare sector, and knowledge of foreign languages. In particular, Dr. Marzullo suggested assigning differentiated scores based on the level of certification, thus rewarding those who invest in their ongoing education.

Another key proposal concerns ECM courses (Continuing Medical Education). The Union Leader emphasized the importance of these courses for professional development, but also highlighted the need to set a maximum score to avoid devaluing higher educational qualifications such as degrees and master's degrees.

Finally, Dr. Marzullo raised the issue of overtime for waiting lists, proposing to put these extra hours up for bid to ensure that all staff have the opportunity to perform them. This measure, in addition to ensuring greater fairness, would also help to ease the workload of those operational units that have historically been more disadvantaged in terms of opportunities to work overtime.

"We are confident that these proposals will be taken seriously by the competent institutions," said Dr. Marzullo. "Investing in the training and enhancement of nursing staff means investing in the quality of care and patient satisfaction."

Nursing Up Salerno is committed to closely monitoring the evolution of the situation and promptly informing its members of developments.
