Dear colleagues, Thank you to each of you. The first results in Emilia Romagna are clear: we have grown, we have conquered new business realities, breaking down barriers that seemed insurmountable. This is the result of your commitment, your trust, and the courage of those who chose to believe in our project. One gesture above all: a colleague came from Bagnara to Imola, with her one-month-old baby. A powerful symbol that we will never forget. This is the beating heart of what we are building together. But let's face reality: we expected more. We should have generated a compact, overwhelming reaction, capable of shaking politics and traditional unions. Instead, many preferred the easier path, running with the tripartite. Let's tell the truth: Our category, crushed economically and professionally, should have shown a surge of dignity. Yet, we have witnessed thousands of professionals who, instead of converging in their own category unions, have continued to strengthen the generalist unions. The same unions that have led us to immobility, the devaluation of the profession, to unworthy salaries. It is a sign that we are still missing something: The maturity that distinguishes categories like that of doctors, able to organize themselves with their own unions. ANAAO, ASSOMED, CIMO: identity, pride, vision. We, on the other hand, continue to rely on traditional unions or, worse, on those who support them without openly declaring it. How can we expect to leave the sector? How can we ask for adequate salaries for intellectual professionals, if we ourselves do not believe in it? We do not give up. Our mission is clear: to bring nurses and healthcare professionals back to the center of the National Health System. With heads held high. With consistency and courage. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Happy Easter to everyone. This experience has united us, made us grow and given us strength. We have invested our commitment, our hearts and our faces. This is just the beginning. Even the great doctors' unions started from the bottom, from small determined groups. Today they make governments tremble. We will do the same. The gap with other categories, such as doctors or psychologists, is evident. They recognize the value of category unions. But we will get there too. Thanks to those who believed, dedicated time, energy and a piece of their life to this vision. We will bring healthcare professionals where they deserve to be: at the center of the NHS. Happy Easter from Francesca Batani and the entire board, managers, activists of Nursing Up Emilia Romagna.
